At Ferdinand R. Tungol D.D.S. Inc., we are doing our part to decrease the spread of COVID-19. The health of our patients, staff and the community is our top priority. With this in mind, our infection control and daily operations follow the recommendations outlined by the California Dental Association, American Dental Association, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and U.S. Centers for Disease Control. We have obtained the necessary PPE (personal protective equipment) and implemented new policies, protocols and physical protective barriers to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 and practice dentistry safely.
Here are a few changes we have made to our patient check-in protocols to ensure your health and safety:
Making Appointments:
Appointment availability is limited.
Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients.
Prior To Arrival:
Patients will be required to fill out “patient information” paperwork prior to all appointments.
Patients will receive this paperwork 24 hours prior to appointment.
Upon Arrival:
The reception area is closed at this time. Please prepare to call the reception desk at (916) 481-3930 upon arrival. We ask that you wait outside the office until you are notified that we are ready to see you.
Please note: There are special considerations for the elderly, disabled and children.
Our receptionist will greet you at the entrance, ask you a series of pre-screening health questions and take your temperature before seating you in the dental operatories.
Hand sanitizer will be available in the reception area and throughout the practice. Patients will be asked to use hand sanitizers provided when navigating the facilities.
At this time, only persons receiving treatment are allowed to enter the office. For patients under 18, one family member may remain present.
We are in regular contact with the California Dental Association and American Dental Association to keep abreast of all regulations related to COVID-19. We are happy to answer any questions you may have.
